Joint-stock company for production, local and foreign trade, mediation and service "EMA" A.D. Knic, was established in 1991, as a private company. In the first years, trade was the main activity of the company and until 1993 it sells mainly the agricultural machinery.

From 1993, "EMA" A.D. Knic starts with selling the motor vehicles: cars and trucks from "IVECO-ZASTAVA" production range, and for a year it becomes leader in the field of selling the trucks in Federal Republic Yugoslavia. During the next three years, the company becomes familiar with the situation in the field of transport the goods on Yugoslav market, as well as with the needs, wishes and capabilities of the customers. Recognizing very low participation of the special vehicles in the transport segment (cca 30%) in comparison with the standard trucks, absoleteness of the motor fleet (the average age of the trucks is 12 years), as well as very poor and insufficient top- quality offer of these vehicles made by the local manufacturers, management of the company made decision, in 1995, to introduce program of production the special vehicles-bodies for the motor vehicles and trailers/semitrailers. "EMA" A.D.-Knic started, in 1996, production of the special vehicles, more exactly bodybuilding-fitting the bodies for transport various kinds of the goods on the motor vehicles, and dominant position in this segment take the bodies for transport and distribution the food products.

Making detailed analysis of this situation, from the market aspect as well as from the aspect of the production capability, we concluded that there is evident need and justification to expand company's activity and to introduce production range of the special van bodies for the motor vehicles, with the fitting appropriate cooling units, where it's necessary.

For that purpose, we established, in 1995, the first initial contacts with the famous European manufacturers of the special bodies. Today, we have a firm cooperation with the following Italian companies "Furgokit", "Autocar", "Furgocar", "Pastore Lombardi", "Eurofrigo", "Assaloni", "Pavelli", "Menci", "Teknokar", Bostik", "Carrier".

Providing the top-quality panels, equipment and the other materials from abroad, company "EMA" started, in 1995, production of the first special van bodies, and lunched them on the market. By the time, company "EMA", in order to be able to react to the requests of the demanding market, make hard efforts to expand the range of its products and to modernize the technology. Also EMA DOO started with reparations and repairs of all types of special bodies and vehicles. By gaining some experience in the production itself of special fourgon bodies "EMA" DOO Knić , by its own original technology, began in 2004.year the production of insulating panels. Many years of presence in the production of special fourgon bodies, valuable experience and an intensive search to find new solutions for problems in transport as well as large quantities of fourgon bodies produced in "EMA" DOO Knić company, made the image of technical perfection, high quality and reliability.

Besides the production of special vehicles, in 2006.year, DOO "EMA" Knić as a leading bodybuilder of trucks in the region is given the exclusive representative for the assembly and distribution of French trailers and semi-trailers "Samro", the Italian tippers "Cantoni&C" and Italian tipper semi-trailers "Menci", for the South East Europe and thereby became their authorized servicer. It is established a high level of business cooperation, and in accordance with the signed contracts there was training of personnel, and technology transfer. The main emphasis has been placed on exports to neighboring EU countries and Russia, which is very important for us. Our sales of trailers and semi-trailers service follows a well a trained team service, which is equipped with stock of spare parts, and mobile team ready to act in any situation.

In order to solve large number of very complex requires that special vehicles must fulfill, cooperation with scientific institutions of Mechanical Faculty in Kragujevac and Belgrade, Federal Institute for Standardization was established, as well as with vehicle manufacturers in the country and abroad. Company DOO "EMA" Knić won Grand Prix awards for trailers and special bodies for 2002 and 2003, by the UNS automotive forums. With rich experiences of our partners and continually improving our products, adapting them to specific market demands, company DOO "EMA" Knić today is able to produce, according to European standards, very high quality and reliable products for the transportation and distribution of various types of goods. "EMA"DOO Knić follows the world trends and acquires materials from famous world manufacturers. Today, "EMA" DOO Knić manages to achieve significant market share, and the biggest competitors can envy us, and the wide spectar of customers referent list indicates that. As a part of the market activities, DOO "EMA" Knić was a participant in all major trade fairs both at home and abroad. The company regularly visits customers, determining their needs, demands and adjust the offer according to their requests.

We can specially emphasize our product for transport and distribution of food where is necessary to keep their freshness and quality. The company respects the requests that are related to security, ecology and sanitary. Very important approach of our company, in solving variety of requests and problems in transport that customers have, is that we assembly bodies on all types and brands of vehicles, domestic and abroad, from smallest to biggest size, new and used vehicles, with fitting of necessary equipment.

From the year 2000, we established cooperation with general exporter and distributer PEUGEOT vehicles for Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, with the company "VERANO MOTORS" From Belgrade. In that way, in the pallet of representatives and sales we have complete vehicle and delivery trucks of this famous automobile producer and we became the authorized diler of PEUGEOT vehicles of "A" category. In 2009. as part of the company new company was established a "Alfa Auto Motors" which takes Peugeot dealership program.

From 2005 we became authorized representatives and servicers of BAR Cargolift from Germany.

From 2011. we are authorized representatives as sales partner of German company Koegel.
